Sekhmet is one of the gods in ancient Egyptian mythology. She is often represented as a lioness-headed lady sitting on a throne or standing. She is one of the members of the Memphis Triad (Ptah - Sekhmet - Nefertum). Female goddess. Her titles: The Great Lady Beloved of Ptah, Eye of Ra, Lady of War, Lady of the Two Earths (Upper and Lower Egypt), Lady of the Libyan Land, The Titan, and many other titles. The lioness is the sacred animal of the goddess of Memphis, Sekhmet, whose name means strong.
Sekhmet, which means the strong one, was always represented as a lady with the head of a lioness, or as a lady with the head of a lioness, sitting on the throne, which was decorated with the sign of the unification of northern and southern Egypt, and holding in her hand the key of life, the Ankh, with a sun disk and a cobra on top of her head. The center of her worship was in Memphis, and she was considered the wife of Ptah and the mother of Nefertum, the lotus god, as they represented the Memphis triad (Ptah-Sekhmet and their son Nefertum).
