The caps do have tarnish (salt shaker) and cracks (in both caps) but they screw on okay and stay in place. They look okay when displayed in a normal environment and not being closely looked at and they fit snug on the shakers. Also, the camera and lighting we use to shoot with doesn't miss anything and greatly exaggerates everything, especially dirt and damage so many times things look worse in pictures than it does in reality. We have discounted our normal listing price for these shakers by about 35% to compensate for this condition.
