Gran Nain Banana Tree (musa sp) – French for Large Dwarf this is one of the most cultivated bananas and produces a medium sized sweet firm fleshed fruit. Gran Nain is a medium sized plant reaching around nine feet tall with a nice stout stem and a love of full sun. The growth rate of Gran Nain will vary greatly depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature and other factors. A few leaves are often trimmed prior to shipping to reduce transpiration and travel stress. Grand Nain is an outstanding banana variety growing from 6 to 8 feet tall and solid green in color.
