Based upon the novel and written for the screen by William Peter Blatty, when a 12-year-old girl (Linda Blair) is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks the help of two priests (Max von Sydow, Jason Miller) to save her. The cast includes Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, and Jack MacGowran. The image depicts an exterior on-set shot of the film's director, William Friedkin, discussing a scene with novelist William Peter Blatty. It is untrimmed in very fine condition as shown.
