This is a very stable process, and you don't ever have to worry about the color fading. The color is not ruby red, not garnet red, but maybe somewhere in between. It would pass for ruby before it would pass for garnet. Hard to pin the color down, really... Fantastic color, incredible cut, perfect clarity -- all combining to create a totally awesome stone. This solid filigree ring can be an everyday ring. Sitting low to the finger, it's not going to get in your way. Good for the office, for the evening, or just because. At SylvaRocks, all of our Sterling Silver is made with a state of the art alloy which modifies the traditional Sterling Silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid Germanium. Adding Germanium to the Sterling Silver results in a highly tarnish resistant silver. Since the resulting metal is still 92.5% pure silver, is still qualifies as Sterling Silver -- just better.
