While St Therese gave the world her "Ïlittle way" Elizabeth Catez was the "prophet of the presence of God" When St John Paul beatified her on 25 November 1984, he presented her to the Church as one "who led a life hidden with Christ in God." "God dwells within you, do not leave Him so often," she advised.There is an intensity to her eyes, which can be seen in the numerous photos of Saint Elizabeth. "As I drew this colored pencil portrait, her form assumed a triangular shape, which I had not planned on, but is a symbol of the Trinity, whom Elizabeth referred to often as, 'my Three,'" says the artist.She is patron saint of the sick and those who have lost their parents.
