No.1 Mercantile Balance Scale cast iron balance scale model No.1 manufactured by Howe Scale Co. in Rutland, Vermont 1 pound capacity plate between pans have raised lettering: 'HOWE SCALE CO.' 'RUTLAND, VT NO.1' 'DESIGNED AND PAT'D JUNE 18, 1897' raised lettering on base: '5078' serial number brass pate on base: '8520' fair condition, functions mechanically heavy oxidization with pitting in areas, little of original paint remains, brass bar in good condition (see photos for details) Free US Shipping with Insurance Included.
