Perennial, Stachy's Byzantina Lanata, The flowers are small Pink / Purple. It's a very full, bushy plant that produces tall spike like stems. Best choice for growing in hot, humid summers. It's a good companion to Roses. They are named lambs ears because of the curved shape and white, soft, fur like hair coating. The leaves are thick and somewhat wrinkled, densely covered on both sides with gray-silver colored, silky-lanate hairs. A low growing spreader. Can be used to form low ornamental hedges. They are grown primarily for the soft velvety texture and vibrant color of their foliage rather than for their flowers. They are very easy to grow almost anywhere. Very hardy plant. Heat resistant. Sow the seeds 1 - 2 seeds in every hole, 1/4" to 1/8" deep. Can be also propagated by digging up and dividing root sections. Part Shade to Full Sun.
Height: 12 - 15"
Zones: 4 - 8
