Vintage German Burlap Dolls Nativity Mary and 50 similar items

GERMANY BURLAP NATIVITY MARY, JOSEPH, BABY JESUS These beautiful VINTAGE hand made dolls were brought back from Germany for me many years ago, and I've just had them stored away since then, so therefor, they are in "like new" MINT condition!! You may consider them Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus or just a unique set/3-Man, Women and Child! Their "formed" bodies are completely made of heavy burlap and their hair is of thin straw. The woman's hair is in a nice circular braid that forms a tight bun. The kneeling man's clothing is made of heavy wool felt with a hidden white shirt and a dark blue designed vest with tiny gold buttons underneath the dark green wool jacket. He holds his stiffened black wool felt hat in his hand. His shoes are also made of black wool felt. The woman's dress is a light rose color satin like fabric with a delicate design throughout. The backside photo shows how the front of the shawl like top is crossed over in a "V" and comes down to the a point at the waist in the back. There is a soft black velvet long sleeve shirt underneath. She holds her precious Baby, also made of burlap with the same straw hair in her arms wrapped in a lace covered muslin carrier. They both stand about 8-1/2" in height. AS MENTIONED, THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT "PRISTINE" CONDITION!
