What am i doing wrong?

I paid 250.00 for the year and raised my promo level to next to the highest and still no sales at all in 3 months, I am getting very discouraged, I have sales on my other platforms but crickets here. What’s the secret to getting a sale?

I used to be able to sell on here. I don’t even get any views now. I cannot get stripe to work. I just get errors. I am selling on three other platforms and have sales almost everyday, but none on here. Two of the platforms I don’t even give them 13% just to get directed here. I am just keeping my site open, maybe someday I will get another sale but when you only get 15 people a month looking at your items, the chances are slim though. They just keep promoting how great they are but no one has heard of them. So many new companies are rising to the top, while Bonanza keeps up articles from when they got kudos 10 years ago. I think whomever started the company must have left, because this is very different. They keep asking for more money. I surely am not going to open a store unless I actually see a result. I don’t think we should have to give away 35% of our sale just to make a sale.
I hope things change, but they are not even investing in an Mobile App. ALL people under 40 make purchases on their mobile devices at least some of the time, if not all of the time.

So don’t feel bad if you are not selling anything here. You are not alone. I don’t think the unique products are making the million in sales every month that is being boasted about.

Good Luck!!

I agree I want to cancel but I dont know if they will refund prorated amount, I get 11,000 views on ebay and 10 on here its ridiculous

Sales are stagnant here…eBay sales have been consistently great this past year. I’ve been on Bonanza for 10+ years. While sales have never been great, they used to be better in the past. Paying for a subscription didn’t help when I had one…

Being that we are going into the slow time of year it is not surprising at all. I to have had more sales this year thru other avenues compared to here, but, I put that as the craziness right now, many are saving money as they just do not know what is going to happen. Everything is more expensive and many are just not buying the “I Want” items but more of the “I Need” items. I myself add new items daily, run sales, cross promote, always updating pics and/or blurbs etc. As I always say, these sites give us the platform, the rest is up to us.

I agree! I peeked in here for not having a sale in over a year, meanwhile I’m cleaning up in ebay. My conclusion is that they are not advertising and are forcing us to pay for Google advertising – a valid option. I think they are breaking the marketplace idea (ebay, etsy) which will ultimately be more powerful, but it’s not there yet. Right now people are trained on marketplaces (ebay, Amazon), and Bonanza should do a hell of a lot more advertising (I’ve never seen one) to educate the buyers. You need both parties to a market, they can do everything to promote sellers, but we leave with no activity. Currently, I think they are building a great model to compete with Amazon (the worst place for most third party sellers), but it’ll be a while to win ebay sellers, except for the mass widget vendors. I sell unique items and unfortunately ebay is about the only place (giant garage sale marketplace).

Wait till next year when the tax man drops the ball on many sellers
I recommend keeping the best of the best items unlisted until June of next year.
By that time many sellers will be spooked off of these market places by the tax man.
I think it may be a gold rush for many and the end of selling online for many

I have always claimed my sales, I sale well on ebay & marketplace, just also claim expenses and you will be fine, If I have a really good quarter I pay in taxes right away, some years I get a refund.
