I just made my 1st sale on Bonanza. We’ve been doing quite well on Ebay and Etsy for a while now and thought we would try Bonanza.
I was quite shocked when I saw the fees.
We sell a lot of items that cost $7.50 + $3.75 for shipping.
Here is what we pay on [URL removed]
Listing [URL removed] $.20
Shipping Trans [URL removed] $.19
Trans [URL removed] $.34
Payment Collection [URL removed] $.58
Total Fees = $1.31
Now here is [URL removed]
Base [URL removed] $.50
Postage Fee $.95
Paypal [URL removed] $.65
Partner Commission Fee (in my Payapl) : $.69
Total Bonanza Fees $2.79
Am I missing something here? I know I can pay $25 a month to remove the postage fee, but I’m not sure if we will do the volume to make that economical.
Is Bonanza really this expensive?

Hello SweetScentsSoap!
Welcome to the Community!!
Bonanza is a seller-focused company and here are a few of the ways you save over other marketplaces,
1. We do not charge to list your items, a fee is collected only when you
make a sale. When you opt-in to Bonanza’s advertising program, you
decide how you much you want to pay and we cover the advertising costs
until your item sells.

2. No membership is required to sell on Bonanza.
but we offer memberships that provide added features
Here is information from our Help pages about memberships

3. Discounted postage up to 15% when you purchase a shipping label
You can pre-fund your postage funds to avoid paying a fee to use Bonanza
shipping.
4. Bonanza Promotions is a great way for our sellers to get more eyes on
the items in your booth at no additional cost to you. Marketed as an
“Employee Discount,” we simply forego what we would collect from you in
sales commission fees, and pass that amount on as an enticing discount
to shoppers. https://support.bonanza.com/hc/en-

Base [URL removed] $.50
Postage Fee $.95
Paypal [URL removed] $.65
Partner Commission Fee (in my Payapl) : $.69
Total Bonanza Fees $2.79
1. Bonanza has a $0.50 minimum fee for FVF
2. You can pre-fund your postage funds to avoid paying a fee to use Bonanza shipping. Or, use PayPal, Stamps, etc. to pay for postage.
3. If you’re accepting PayPal, those fees are the same no matter what Platform you sell on.
4. Partner commission fee is actually sales tax collected by PP and did not impact you (since it was in the gross amount paid by buyer).
So, take away the $0.95 shipping fee and disregard the sales tax of $0.60, your actual transaction costs would have been $1.64 LESS resulting in $1.15 total costs.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions

- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
