Who can authenticate louis vuitton bags for me?

I have three LV bags, and I cannot get a real answer if they are real, if any are real, ect. One is Vintage. I contacted Vuitton, but they said they can not authenticate, because that is their policy. Is there anyone out there trustworthy and really knows LV? Any info is really appreciated! Thanks!

There are people here from the Purse Forum – post in the general threads with a picture or search for The Purse Forum and go there and ask them – there are some very purse savvy ladies there.

Have you tried rerouting thru their USA site direct via email?
GO To > [URL removed]

then to Contact Us @>

[URL removed]

but do not elect the “Contact our Representatives” option and keep it via email for faster results.

LV will be focusing on their USA resell products later this year. They’ve been busy taking care of online LV resells within the European markets these past 2 years and about to start on USA sites next.

Good luck

I’ve had this problem before. I found a website by just typing in ‘how do I know if my Louis Vuitton is real?’. The sight was helpful. It gave tell tell signs of what to look for. For example it must have a ID number on the inside seam, not the tag, its a separate leather tag thats got nothing but numbers on it. Also a real Louis Vuitton will be made usually out of one piece of leather so the back of the bag the LV should be upside down. Make sure that everything is stitched VERY well and that the handle is genuine leather. I had an LV back pack everything on it checked out the only thing I didn’t do was take it to Louis Vuitton store. After being sold the girl demanded her money back and insisted it was fake. I won’t even mess around with LV anymore there are just too many fakes and its just not worth the question that you will get time and time again “Is this a real Louis Vuitton”. Hope this helps Good Luck. Oh and by the way the fake ones are still going for $145.00 – $175.00. So I believe any bag that wasn’t $300.00 or more is fake. Not that anyone can tell the difference :)

Jamiro made a excellent suggestion. The Purse Forum is a dedicated group of people. My utmost respect goes to you for wanting to authenticate them and not risk the potential of selling illegal fakes. Best to you.

Agree with all of the above. I really get annoyed with all of the fakes. Korea is producing fake ones that look authentic…they are reproducing every detail that real LV bags are known for. Thank you for being responsible for the bags you just purchased.

The Korean fakes wear well. I purchased several while in Korea because they were so cheap…and I used them for years. Am hard on my handbags so I was surprised they lasted for so long.

Best of luck.

The fakes are literally everywhere in So. California. I see women who obviously don’t have two dimes to rub together carrying LV handbags with LV wallets. Women who own real LV bags and wallets really don’t wear $4 flip flops or generic brand jeans. (Really! Not even in California.)

If you bought a LV cheap and you think it is real, then keep it. Sell the others as fakes and call it a day.
