China questions. spode copeland and alfred meakin. both antiques

I have a plate from Copeland Spode that is part of the Rural Duncan series made in July 1929 according to the numbering given on the back…Replacements.com has the pattern but no plates. I have only 1 of these and it is in excellent condition. The same for the Alfred Meakin set of The Kremlin that I think dates from 1879 to 1899 according to the back stamp, which is from the original production. I have 10 place settings including dinner plates, fish bone bowls(which were fashionable in the Victorian Era), and salad/cereal bowls shallow plates. They all have differing amounts of crazing, discoloration, gold around the edges is coming off and some small chips. Seeing that is china that is over 100 years old it is in pretty good shape but has been loved and used. Other then finding the patterns on Replacements.com I cannot find any real prices including on ebay, worthpoint, kovels or any other books on English porcelain. Any ideas on value? I want to sell reasonably but I would hate to underestimate the value and price way below value. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Replacements will not buy any porcelain that is chipped or cracked …no matter how old or rare.
I collect old (well over 100 years) porcelain and glass. It is very hard to sell with chips or cracks. (Some porcelain over 200 years old you can sell if it is damaged…but still a gamble.)
Some people will buy if an item is crazed only. Do not expect to get a high price for damaged porcelain.
You can always list the plates (maybe someone is missing your particular piece). Best of luck.

replacements willpay you squat. i always sell at 30% less than there going price. Shoot high and you can always come down. find china of like make, value and date and price accordingly. You must not worry about undervaluing an item, get what profit you are happy with and pass on a good value to the next seller. It is nothing to be ashamed of; it’s a win win for all invloved and you will get a profit. Sometimes greed will make you hold onto something waaaayyyy tooooo long.

Thank you so much for your answers. I did try Replacement.com first as that is where I found the pattern names but for both of them they said they were not buying because they didn’t have enough requests for the patterns. I think I will keep the Copeland Spode for myself as I always buy what I find I like and it goes with my kitchen colors…so it will look nice in my plate rack. As for the Meakin, I am debating what to do. I think it is beautiful but I already use my grandmother’s china which is Apple Blossom pattern so it does not match…so I will look around at comparable Meakin and other china from around the same age and then discount/and or sell only what is crazed with no chips. I love sharing items with potential buyers that they think is beautiful as well and will get good use and appreciation of the items. Euroholic love your booth, will add to my favorites list. I love european china and porcelain as well….
