In retail the “magic-price” for items has been not to exceed the $20. threshold… Any ideas for internet shoppers? Bonanzle? Do people tend to spend more or less when shopping online? Any comments welcome and appreciated!

I don’t think there is a magic price for retailers. Ideally it would be nice to fit into a certain price, but it wouldn’t work for all items. I do my research and see what is the going price for an item. Depending on how rare the item is, I may set a price that is more than what it’s selling for. Eventually, it will sell, even at a higher price. Some buyers feel if they spend more for an item, it’s worth more to them. Strange but true.

I’ve always sold a variety of different items, and I can honestly say that there is no magic number for the items I’ve sold. Since joining Bonanzle, the threshold has been above $20 for me however.

I do not believe in magic prices. Check out other sites to see what your item is going for. Sell your item for what it is worth and don’t gouge on the shipping.

In retail the “magic-price†for items has been not to exceed the $20. I’m sorry but I disagree with this statement if that were the case why are we here? and why are all the major retailers still in business?
There is no magic number retail or internet wise. It comes down to being competitive,researching,presentation and keywords when you sell online. You need to be proactive when it comes to Marketing and promoting what you have to offer.

I don’t look at how much can I get for my items. Since I make my own glass art to sell I know what its worth and price it accordingly. I have items listed from $7.00 all the way up to $350.00. I’ve sold many items on both ends of the prices. I agree with Montrose 100%..if its good it sells itself. One will pay big money for high quality and one of a kind items.

I do not believe there is some magic price. It all depends on the item being offered for sale. You really need to do your research and the internet is full of research opportunities. Google the item you are looking to sell and see what others are offering it for. Search recently sold items here and on other venues if possible. Consider condition. This is a great balancing act, pricing too low can be as dangerous as pricing too high.

I don’t have any magic in my booth. I have sold items of all price ranges since starting on Bonanzle and in my prior online experience. If you have quality items that people are looking for, they will pay a reasonable price.
