If you are the creative type, the following open source programs, which you can download for free, would be very helpful in creating great graphics for your booth banner, profile pictures, etc.

The GIMP open source graphics program is very useful in creating profile pictures and booth banners.

Blender is a great program to create 3D graphics, text, and any other 3D object you can think of. It even creates 3D movies and games.

Inkscape is another graphics program you might be interested in. It is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Of course there are more graphics programs out there to choose from but the ones that I mentioned should satisfy your creative needs.

Hope this helps. :-)

When you purchase a program that you can use to create banners or any type of images with, you have more to work with, than you have on the sites where you create on site. If you are wanting to get into creating banners as well as other types of images, I would suggest purchasing a program for it. If you are just wanting to create a banner once in a while for your own use then creating on the site would be the best choice.

I made my own with photos I took and Adobe Photoshop Elements. It is always good to find other resources for updates or seasonal changes. So thanks to everyone for the additional information.

I used Print shop for mine, but sadly it’s not free. I like it because I can make all kinds of projects with it, like posters and flyers, business cards, greeting cards, banners to print out for parties and a ton more. And it’s very user friendly
