Iyana Ki is a cultural fashion brand that specializes in exceptional silk, cashmere, cotton and wool garments from Uzbekistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand and other culturally rich collaborating countries. All items are handmade by locals with little machine usage, lots of special attention and care in the epicenter of the historical Silk Road (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Bukhara, Uzbekistan; and in Lhuntse, Bhutan, Terhathum, Nepal or Chiang Rai, Thailand. We do not use synthetic materials in our items, and we partner with family-owned businesses to support small and medium-sized enterprises and advocate fair trade. We offer a range of items from fashion robes, scarves, and cardigans to purses and jewelry.

Our silk robes are Uzbek Ikat Adras. Adras is an 80% silk and 20% cotton blend. Adras is the customary silk blend used in Uzbekistan because it guarantees a soft silky premium feel with structural integrity. The designs are called Ikat, which is a term for a fabric that is hand-dyed using a resist dyeing method (natural fruit, vegetable, nuts and plant coloring used) and hand-woven on wooden looms using the century’s old traditions of Ikat weaving. Ironically, similar production methods are used in Bhutan and Nepal which reinforces our concept of traditional, eco-friendly produced items. For example, our Bhutanese purses are woven in Lhuntse, Eastern Bhutan. The delicate patterning is created by supplementary wefts worked in the labor-intensive technique called Thrima, twined and wrapped in such a way that the result looks like embroidery. It takes about 7-10 days to make one purse.

All Iyana Ki products are the artisanal outcome of regional patterns with cultural significance, stylized with a modern touch. For instance, the Uzbek silk robe designs are inspired by the shapes of flowers, leaves, and fruits, and were particularly popular between the early nineteenth century and the beginning of the Soviet period. The designs and styles we create are traditional and classy yet hip and urban at the same time. Our Uzbek cotton robes are unisex and appropriate for many occasions. The unisex robes are perfect for a casual or fancy outing, a sophisticated or formal event, draped over your bikini at the beach or poolside, lounging around the house, etc.

Shipping policy

Your items will be shipped within five to seven business days of your purchase (FedEx Priority Shipping), and a signature is required on the receiver’s end to complete the delivery. Iyana Ki does not assume responsibility for damaged items as a result of FedEx shipping. However, in cases where items were damaged during shipment, Iyana Ki will assist customers with receiving compensation for their inconvenience (all items have shipping insurance).

Return policy

Iyana Ki does not make refunds, but we do accept exchanges for items that are damaged. Damaged items are defined as holes and tears, and not inconsequential loose threads from our handmade products. Further, Iyana Ki does not assume responsibility for damaged items because of FedEx shipping. However, in cases where items were damaged during shipment, Iyana Ki will assist customers with receiving compensation from FedEx (all items have shipping insurance). For exchange cases, customers must take the following steps:

1- Make your exchange claim within 48 hours of receiving the item. Please be sure to include pictures as proof.

2- Mail the item back to Iyana Ki within 48 hours of the acceptance of a product inspection (FedEx Priority Shipping only). This shipment cost will be reimbursed along with the product exchange pending the approval. ??

3- Email Iyana Ki the tracking number and a legible scanned copy or photo of the receipt of the shipment.

4- Please be advised that the replacement product will be shipped to the customer within 72 hours of the inspection of the returned product if the claim is confirmed as legitimate. In cases where inventory doesn’t permit an exchange of a product, 100% of the product’s selling price will be returned to the customer.
