Hi everyone! I’m Grace, the Marketing Coordinator here at Bonanza! I’m excited to share some awesome news about Bonanza’s powerful background removal and replacement tool, The Background Burner. Sales conversions are significantly higher on items with white backgrounds, which is why Bonanza created the Background Burner. The tool has been a game-changer for online sellers, making professional, white background photos easy and accessible for all.
The Background Burner technology uses high-tech computer algorithms to automatically distinguish between the foreground and background of an image. This technology is so impressive that it’s getting attention outside of the ecommerce world. I’m eager to announce that Bonanza has recently collaborated with Disney to create a cutting-edge website experience in connection with the upcoming summer blockbuster, Tomorrowland.
From this:
To this!
The Disney movie features state-of-the-art special effects and futuristic scenery, so we've provided the Background Burner technology to develop an interactive website that can take users to Tomorrowland. Users simply take a selfie or upload a photo, and Bonanza’s Background Burner immediately transports them to Tomorrowland.
Bonanza is not just a marketplace - it’s an inspiring community that is creating cutting-edge tools to power online entrepreneurs. We couldn’t be more pleased with the progress the Background Burner has made since its conception, and are constantly making improvements with the Bonanza community in mind. If you’ve used the Background Burner before and would like to burn a larger quantity of images at a faster speed and a higher quality, try our pro edition!

Your blog header reads " Posted on April 22, 2015. I Just got it today, three days later, April 25.
Good eye! The date of the blog is the draft date. We sometimes draft blogs in advance.
If I had a choice, I’d go back to 40yearsagoland to start my adult years over while keeping all the knowledge that I currently possess. LOL.
Seriously, though, I’m excited for the attention that Bonanza will get from this new Disney project.
Why does it say there are 3 comments, but i don’t see any, other than me now?
There was a setting on the blog that prevented them from showing. All is fine now.
If only the background burner actually produced a decent image… Look at the example. See the glare to the left of the hand by her face? That should be gone.
Totes. We are working super hard each day to improve the Background Burner process. The glow you see in the image is actually a result of the background that Disney is using, not he Bonanza Background Burner.
Good job. Congrats.
I wish the changes made were useful
Are you keeping an improvement you would like to see a secret? C’mon Eliray, share with us so we can make your wants a reality too! http://feedback.bonanza.com/forums/272267-burner-pro?utm_campaign=burn_pro_welcome&utm_medium=email&utm_source=email
I never use the background burner because it never works on mine….they come out terrible. So with this one, i am assuming there is a cost involved?
We have two versions, a free version and a paid version. Some images are more challenging than others (i.e. necklaces or chandeliers, or images with similar backgrounds to the subject). We would love the opportunity to see if we can improve that for you. Please contact us directly at [email protected]
I tried the burner a few times – no success.
Big parts of any item disappear. Pity
A pity indeed! We would love the opportunity to see if we can improve that for you. Please contact us directly at [email protected]
Warning: this may sound like an advert, but it’s not!
I love the background burner!
I think many people don’t realize you can go in and do a closeup marking of what to keep and what to remove….so if it leaves out a big chunk, just go in and put a green line on what to put back in, or red line on what to cut out.
Yes, the quick burn works best when there is a greater contrast between the object and background, and/or when the object has sharp lines…but even other photos are easy to remove the background when you zoom in and us the other functions available.
I actually saw this same photo editing process available with another online program that did the same thing, but it charged $4/mo. (which isn’t bad) but the color of the edited photo faded a bit. Background burner is superior in that regard.
I haven’t used the Pro Edition of Background Burner, but the free version admittedly is time consuming for photos that don’t have high contrast/sharp edges.
If one has photoshop, you can use magic wand or magnetic polygram or magic eraser and whatnot much quicker. But if I don’t want to fire up my dinosaur computer, and transfer photos with usb between computers, I’ll use Bonanza’s lovely Background Burner for high contrast items in a heartbeat.
I can’t wait to check out this new feature. I doubt my old version of photoshop has that technique available in simplified form.
Side note: I just went to the tomorrowland page you linked to http://www.takemetotomorrowland.com/fallback.html and it suggests upgrading my browser and recommends Google chrome. I just updated my Chrome this morning. Does everyone see that, is it just me, or is that a collaboration promo y’all have with Google?
