The top of the candle holders are flower shaped down to the tapered part.  Then the sides are thinly ribbed to catch the colors in your room.  The bottom is a wide platform which is raised from the flat surface.  These candle sticks can be turned upside down easily to accommodate a larger round candle.

Measure 7" tall x 3 1/2 inches in diameter (bottom platform measurement).  The top flower part will receive a tapered candle which is 7/8 inches in diameter.  If you go with the larger candle this area will accommodate a 2 1/2 in diameter candle.
