Tea Tree oil is used in cosmetic products such as moisturizers, shampoo and conditioners, body lotions, mouth washes, facial cleansers, and hand and foot sprays or powders; this oil is also used in a wide range of household cleaning products as well. This oil is said to have antibacterial properties but should be used with precaution when applying topically to the skin.

Historical Uses: The leaves of the melaleuca tree (or tea tree) have been used to heal cuts, wounds, and skin infections by the Aborigines for centuries.

Aromatic Effect: Tea Tree oil promotes purity and cleansing.

Application:
Topical use: Apply a drop or two to direct area. To avoid any skin sensitivity dilute with carrier oil (e.g., Jojoba).
Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

Other Possible Uses: Use daily to clean skin, add a few drops to a face wash.
Apply tea tree essential oil diluted in coconut oil to soothe cuts and wounds.
To naturally clean countertops and other surfaces just add a few drops to your water and use.

Safety Data: Harmful if swallowed, Irritating to skin, May cause sensitization by skin contact.
Women who are nursing or pregnant should avoid contact with Tea Tree Oil.
