Silica Sand - Safe for Carnivorous Plants!

Need silica sand but can't find any at the hardware store?

Perfect grow medium for all sand loving plants

This is 1/2 Gallon of silica sand coarse enough to provide drainage without becoming compacted

 which is important for many carnivorous plants. 

It also makes an excellent top-dressing to inhibit fungus gnats and help reduce the growth of algae.

This sand seems to contain very few impurities, 

however mineral content can vary from one batch to the next 

so rinsing with distilled water prior to use is still advisable.
