This pretty clamshell has a stamp on the back in an orange Made in Japan with leaves and a ribbon.  The image looks like a Lotus flower.  Measures 5 1/4 inches tall x 5 1/4 inches wide.  It has a beautiful white lusterware glow/finish on it.  The gold gild has some wear to it but not unusual for the age of it.  See photo as it is part of my description. 

This item could easily be a bedside trinket box, a bathroom soap or bath bomb display, candy dish, etc.  The lusterware is what makes this item so unique. 66

All glass items are washed with Dawn Blue Dish Soap after purchasing.  This gives me a chance to insect it before being shipped out.
