A Shooting Star by Wallace Stegner (1961, HC in DJ, BCE)

Originally titled "Sabrina." The story follows the infidelity and moral disintegration of an "independent woman of the twentieth century". The story is set around Sabrina Castro who is an attractive woman born into wealth. She is married to an older physician who devotes more attention to his patients than her. 

Wallace Earle Stegner (1909–1993) was an American novelist, short story writer, environmentalist, and historian, often called "The Dean of Western Writers".  He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1972 for "Angle of Repose." "The Spectator Bird" was awarded The National Book Award in 1977.  

BOMC edition. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked. Hardback cover has gray board with black cloth spine, blue initials on front cover and gold lettering on spine.  Deckle page-ends across from spine. Top page edge is yellow tinted. DJ is mostly whole, some chunks have been ripped off, stabilized with tape. Like new book in poor DJ.
