I AM HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES

VINTAGE ITEMS - Items I list as vintage are sold as is and are normally listed as I find them. I normally do not clean the items unless they are so dirty that the item cannot be seen through the dirt. Please note that vintage items are "OLD" and like us will have scars from their life.

VINTAGE RESALE ITEMS - These are items not made by SALLY'S CREATIONS.  I describe all my items to the best of my ability and try to take informative pictures.  I do research each item that I list and try to include the information I find.  I enjoy collecting a wide variety of vintage items and learning about the origins of each piece.  Vintage items are pieces from my personal collection or estate finds.

MEASUREMENTS - All measurements are to be considered approximate estimates.  I strive to take accurate measurements, however most items are irregular shaped and difficult to measure.

MULTIPLE SITE LISTING - This item may be listed for sale at other internet based locations and/or a retail shop.  Item sales will be processed on a "FIRST PAID" basis. If you are the winning bidder on an item or place a Buy it Now purchase, it will remain for sale until the item has been paid for.  This is the same policy has begun using to reduce the unpaid item occurrences on Buy it Now items.

PICTURES:  I HAVE STARTED TAKING PICTURES WITH AND WITHOUT USING A FLASH. This is to show detail and highlight the difference in how a piece looks in different light. You will notice the difference in the pictures as you look at them.  Typically the colors look brighter under flash photography than without a flash and some details stand out better when using a flash.  I hope this change will help better show my items and be helpful to you in determining quality and condition of the item.  If you would like additional pictures or a specific picture of the item please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to oblige.

RARE ANTIQUE HARKER POTTERY Co. SERVING BOWL

VINTAGE GRAPES

Harker Pottery Co. is one of the oldest pottery companies in the USA, they began production in 1840. This is a very rare item from an American pottery company with a long rich history. You will find lots of Harker Pottery listed for sale but very very little this old and still intact. This bowl was definitely used but still cared for to have survived to this point. The top inside rim is embossed with a floral swag design. There is an image of grapes on the inside with a translucent glaze. This piece has been in my collection for a few years and now it's time for it to find a new home.

From Kovels' -  The Harker Pottery Co., of East Liverpool, Ohio and later Chester, West Virginia, is commonly called the, "Oldest Pottery in America." It started in a log cabin in 1840 by Benjamin Harker, and remained on its original site for ninety-one years. In 1931 the plant moved across the river to Chester and took over the old Edwin M. Knowles plant.  According to the Collector's Encyclopedia of American Dinnerware by Jo Cunningham, "The Jeanette Glass Company bought Harker and closed it down in March of 1972."
