 new,  hand made in the Philippines

Made in the province near  famous Banaue rice terraces  on the island of Luzon,

 carbon steel  blade: 

13" (33 cm) &   14  1/3" ( 46.5 cm) overall

Weight : 1 pound 1.3 oz  (490 grams)  and with scabbard  1 pound 11 oz ( 770 grams) 

handle: 5" (13 cm)

         The handle is  hollow , bended and  integral to the blade and wrapped with strands

 of ratan/rattan

in  open faced wooden scabbards-with lizard hand carving

           The scabbard being essentially a decorated  board hollowed slightly on one face to fit the blade

which is held in place by a small low wooden arch bound to the main part of the sheath by rattan.
