Admiral of Black don’t give a shit about your trends. They make music that they love to play…period. Their sound is influenced by decades of great rock, metal, and blues music that predates them. Located just outside the great city of Chicago, AOB pummel you with a destructive double guitar tone, thunderous rhythm section, ferocious vocals, and searing guitar solos. Admiral of Black is out to destroy and conquer all that stands in their way. 

Is AOB the next revolutionary metal band in music, the band that’s redefining their genre, and bringing a new twist to the scene….HELL NO! That’s bullshit, and every band that claim they are….are full of shit. So what will you get with AOB? 

They’ve been called “meat and potatoes metal” “grimy desert rock” “motorized southern metal” “metal as hell”, and the bands personal favorite “nothing special but extremely good at what they do.” 

They are what they are…and that’s what you get. But at least they aren’t claiming to be something they’re not. In Chicago, sound-a-like and look-a-like rock/metal bands thrive on the current radio and media trends. How many more “modern” rock outfits can a city tolerate playing the same song over and over again? How many more can you tolerate?

AOB independently released their debut album at the historic Metro in Chicago this past summer, June 5, 2009...and followed it with multiple tours booked and promoted under their own power and direction. 

Prospects for 2010 are looking awesome - In January, AOB signed a management deal with iLA (The Inner Light Agency). Damon Moreno of iLA enthuses "Just take a listen to "Bitten By The Rattlesnake" and you'll quickly understand why these guys own"
