American studio artisan, J. P. Reardon.
He used a trompe l'oeil ("fool the eye")
technique by blending layered construction, stamped and embossed
details.
The house base is a silver thatched Florentine with stamped windows and doors. The layered foreground is iridescent multitone sterling with embossed details on the roof, arched cutout doorway frame, brick walls and crazy roof. These whimsical brooches with their perfect detailing are a rare and collectible work of art. SIGNATURE~HALLMARKS: None other than the original price tags.
