Here is a RARE, Hard To Find, VINTAGE, Marked "Aluminum Delaware Memorial Bridge Commemorative Token Coin" from 1951. My neighbor recently rediscovered a box of commemorative pins, political buttons and other memorabilia that had belonged to her father; the box and contents had been safely and securely stored inside his closet until his recent passing. With a LOVELY age appropriate Patina, this Token Coin could use a GOOD GENTLY CLEANING; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. With a diameter of approximately 1 inch, the front has a representation of the Delaware Memorial Bridge in the center with the words "Delaware Memorial Bridge" above and "Wilmington, Delaware" below. The obverse contains the words "World's Sixth Longest Single Suspension Bridge August 16, 1951". A CLASSIC, HANDSOME piece of Mid-Century Memorabilia, it is very collectible. History is precious, as well as timeless and this Token is looking for a new home. |
