Salsa Bowl Mexico MARKED W Raised (R) Hand Painted Footed Scalloped Edge Pottery
It is hand painted with a very heavy glaze over that. There is an (R) on the bottom of this bowl. The design on the bowl is yellow, red, purple, and burgundy chili peppers. I believe it to be a side Salsa Bowl. There is no damage to this item but does have a smudge to one of the red peppers, a black line under the glaze which looks like a hairline crack...but its not cracked to the point where it is going through the piece...and a lump in the scallop at the top which again is from the making of the bowl itself. The glaze has no crazing and the colors are bright and vivid.
I can see some hot cheese sauce and taco chips being eaten from this bowl right now.
This piece of pottery measures 3 9/16 inches in diameter x 1 1/2 inches tall.
