Ultra rare and hard to find...square splatter green porcelain or ceramic ashtray.  Great Mid Century Look & Appeal, Pat Date Oct 1960.  U.S. Pat No #2,957,479.
Used for Cigars and Cigarettes.  This piece measures approximately 6 7/8 inches x 6 1/2 inches x 1 1/4 inches tall.  The green splatter is at the top and about halfway down the ashtray … then it goes into a solid Forest Green color.  Those colors were very popular back in the 60's.  Add this to your collection or can very well be used as a side ashtray.  Might be a trinket holder if you are not a smoker.

Patent date puts ashtray in early (Oct 25, 1960) 1960's. The item is in excellent shape with very minor chipping under the tray where the round metal bars come through the ceramic to attach the metal brackets.  The Saf-T-Tray was designed to automatically dump ashes from cigarette or cigar once it as lifted from tray or perhaps burned down.  The metal cigar and cigarette brackets can be easily slid up or down the metal holders.
