In 2015, Terranova decided to replace standard folic acid with methylfolate. This decision was influenced by scientific research which showed that a large percentage of people have a genetic mutation that prevents folic acid from being properly metabolized. People who have a mutation in the MTHFR gene for methylfolate cannot use folic acid because they cannot translate it into the active form.

Terranova has started producing single methylfolate for people whose need for folate is greater than that which can be found in multivitamins or B vitamin complexes. The Magnifood complex in this formulation is not only a source of folate, but also a source of nutrients that synergistically act with folate, such as trimethylglycine and iron from beets, zinc from pumpkin seeds and other B vitamins from rice bran.

     Calcium-L-methylfolate 400µg - active form;
     Magnifood complex contains: beets, pumpkin seeds, rice bran and spinach leaves. They additionally provide vitamins and minerals, as well as essential amino acids;
     Suitable for pregnant women
