Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the classic 1930's drama/romance, WAY DOWN EAST, released in 1935 by the Fox Film Corporation and directed by Henry King. In this sound remake of director D.W. Griffith's classic 1920 silent film version, a family living on a farm in Maine takes in a young woman to stay with them, not knowing that the woman is not quite what she seems and has a secret in her past that she hasn't told them about. The cast includes Rochelle Hudson, Henry Fonda, Slim Summerville, Edward Trevor, Margaret Hamilton, Russell Simpson, Andy Devine, Spring Byington, and Astrid Allwyn.

The image features a scene inside of a country general store as an old man wearing a baggy suit dances while Constable Seth Holcomb (Slim Summerville) and town gossip Martha Perkins (Margaret Hamilton) watch with pleasure from the background. It is in good+ condition only with a 3.25 in. and two smaller creases and signs of wear on the top left corner; vertical lines of scuffing/scratching along the first 3 in. inside of the left border; a vertical crease to the right of the right border; and signs of wear on the right corners.
