THE BOOK OF NEFARIOUS INTRIGUES
This sale is for the 6x9", 177 page, first-edition, paperback, short-story compilation; The Book of Nefarious Intrigues, by me; Krista D'Ambroso. I'm an Independent, freelance writer. This is one of the first books I published, along with two novels, and a non-fiction book, that can all be found in my store.
This compilation of stories includes tales of mystery, horror, science fiction, and a little bit of twisted humor mixed in. There are a total of nine stories:
"An Inanimate Life" tells the story of a chauvinistic man who crosses paths with the wrong woman one fateful night.
"Down With the Kids" has two fed-up parents plotting what to do with their misbehaved children, but are the misbehaved children plotting against them?
"The Flowering Moon" is a creature-feature...or is it? Only those who are conscious can know.
"Obsession" is a mystery involving several missing women, and the man who loved them all.
"The Barn" is based on the true story of an emotionally tormented child by the angry spirit in her home.
In "Annihilation", the dream of Utopia is ruled by those other than the inhabitants of Earth.
"Thomdon's Pond" finds a widow searching for answers as to whom the mysterious person she was married to, was. Her investigation takes her on the most exhilarating journey of her life.
In "The Art of Growing Old", we meet a bitter, old man who still has a lot to learn about life.
"The Faceless Woman" is nothing short of a horror story set in the lot of an abandoned amusement park. Who is the Faceless woman standing in repose, waiting to be freed from her plaster shell?
