On the long journey to Russia, which took over a year, it has been said that the tea acquired its smoky flavor from being exposed to the nightly caravan campfires.

Tea Steeping Tips:
Water: Filtered, reverse osmosis, or spring water (best).
Water Temperature: 212 F (rolling boil).
Tea leaves: Add ~4 -5 grams (~2 tsp.) to a (16 oz.) teapot. Pour boiling water on tea leaves.
Steeping time: ~4 minutes or to your desired taste preference.
Strain tea into cup, sip, and enjoy!
