Red
Perilla or Shiso is a traditional Japanese herb that tasted like a mix
of cinnamon, coriander, and citrus. It also can be grows as sprouts or
microgreens. The bushy plant produces aromatic red frilled leaves. Great
in salads, juices, pickling, Sushi, and more.
Leaves can be used in Japanese recipes such as: Umeboshi, pickled plum, and Akajiso juice.
This plant has many names: Japanese Basil, Beefsteak Plant, Zi Su, Red Soviet Union, Purple Basil or Red Mint
