Offered here is this Beautiful Antique Solid Mahogany Cabinet. I believe that it is made of mahogany, although it may be another type of wood. It has gorgeous grain and craftsmanship. I suspect that it was once the top portion of a larger piece, but this cabinet is all that remains now. It is in remarkably good condition, with only very minimal surface scratches from general use. The cabinet has a sort of crown molding around the top. There is some small veneer loss at the back of the side edges, as can be seen in the photos. These areas are on the sides, but at the back of the piece. The molding around the top has beautiful symmetric carved detail. There is some slight separation at the corners of the top molding. This detail matches the carved details on the front trim of the door. The shelves inside are static, and do not adjust. They are in great condition, and have a lovely custom carved shape, with plate rails in the back of both shelves. The wood grain on the front of the cabinet has almost a burled look to it. The finish on this cabinet is just beautiful. The glass in the door is the original poured wavy glass. The hardware on the door is, I believe, also original to the piece, as are the pulls on the large drawer at the bottom. There are a few small dings in the trim on the drawer, which also has the same matching carved details. I am unsure of the age of the piece, although I would guess that it most likely dates to the 19th Century. It is 50.5” tall, 14” deep, and 44” wide. It is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture. It would be a beautiful statement piece in any room, and a must have for any antique collector.
