Brand new factory sealed vhs tape of a title that is Out Of Print in all formats. Perfect for old school televisions as the image will fill your square frame. Any horror film fan could find something to like in this in-joke-filled PG horror spoof.
Robert Vaughn stars as Byron Orlok, a vampire. Teri Copley (who had just been in Playboy and gets to sing two songs here) is his visiting niece. Nerdish Dexter Ward (Steve Altman) and sexy Teri Copley of Arkham, Mass. are searching for the "Book of Ulthar", a Lovecraft-inspired volume that could release an 'elder god' from captivity. Boris Karloff is shown in outtakes from Roger Corman's 'The Terror' (edited in with new footage), and Angus Scrimm, parodying his 'Phantasm' character.
Lots of old Corman-produced footage is used, along with plenty of 'Airplane'-style gags. There's a nice re-creation of a scene from 'Horror of Dracula', a 'Honeymooners' spoof, and a surprising gag scene with Jason, Freddy, Leatherface, and Pinhead. There are also nods to 'The Exorcist', 'It Conquered the World', Elvis, and even "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow." One of the best sequences is a musical number "Give Me Some Action", in which director Jim Wynorski reruns every explosion ever used in a Corman film. Free shipping fee per each additional title purchased and sent together for combined Media Mail delivery.
