Brand new factory sealed stand-alone dvd is Out Of Print (OOP) and now only available as part of a pricey double feature set.

A theatrical spinoff of the TV series that is larger scaled with lots of wonderful sequences.

The Zero X space program is working on manned expeditions to Mars. After one test launch ends in the disastrous loss of the ship due to the intervention of a villain never explicitly identified as regular baddie the Hood, International Rescue are called in to provide security for the Mars shot, and foil a further evil scheme to infiltrate the crew.

Then we get a wonderful dream in which Alan goes on a date with Lady Penelope to the Swinging Star orbital night-spot and is entertained by Cliff Richard Jr. and the Shadows. After the spaceship successfully reaches its destination, we get a creepy sequence on Mars as the Zero X astronauts encounter some persistently hostile alien fire-spitting rock snakes!

The traditional Thunderbirds business comes into play during the finale, as the Zero X suffers a re-entry malfunction and International Rescue have to deploy their machines to rescue the crew - as was typical in the show, vastly exspensive scientific programs are abandoned in an instant (the Zero X crash lands in a small town, with all data from the Mars mission aboard) and human life is paramount.
