Box and cassette are both nice and clean and in good shape. Pre-viewed for quality and had to tweak the tracking for static sound on my Sony deck. Played fine with just a couple of quick flips over the end credits.

This full screen version is Out Of Print (OOP) in all formats and looks great on those old school TVs as the image will fill your square frame. Retro pop-n-go video also has a more robust sound over its digital counterpart.

Ben Stiller (as Starsky) and Owen Wilson (as Hutch) spoofs everything the TV show took so seriously, and to good effect. In this outing, we find out how the duo became partners, an origin story if you will. It seems both are misfits, with the opposing personality traits of the originals exagerrated to an almost-impossible level, giving them a very high-energy odd-couple buddy vibe as they chase aspiring drug kingpin Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn).

Of course Huggy Bear is there to assist (in the person of Snoop Dog who is spot-on). Stiller and Wilson have the act down, and they never linger on a gag too long. The originals, Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul have a quick cameo near the end.
