Renaissance by Tiffany and Co Sterling Silver Fish Server 11 1/4" Figural RareItem Description
Renaissance by Tiffany and Co.
This neoclassical style pattern was designed by Paulding Farnham was patented in 1904 but not introduced until 1905. Renaissance is the last of Farnham's patterns in flatware and was the most ornate out of all he designed. It has high relief and features an armless female herm in five different motifs. The handle is bordered by a double band with raised rose of diamonds and spheres. The detailing varies from different sizes of pieces, making each similar but not identical, as the larger sizes allowed more detailing in the middle of the handle. On today's market Renaissance is considered a rare pattern.
Lovely sterling silver Fish Server measuring 11 1/4" in the pattern Renaissance by Tiffany. It is monogrammed (see photo) and in excellent condition.
