Box has a crease on the lower right and upper corners and the lower left spine. Top left spine has a droplet that ran like paint which is now a dark stain. The cover also has some of these dry dark 'droplets', very small and barely visble.

Excellent family/drama period piece (the 1970s) directed by Ang Lee and based on the book by Rick Moody.
Kevin Kline plays a husband and father too self-absorbed to notice his marriage (to Joan Allen) unraveling into crisis, and his children (Toby McGuire & Christina Ricci) mimicking the sordid behaviour that surrounds them by trying to lose their virginity. Skillfully fuses together a frank, unsympathetic look at family psychology, while also making a comment on the social situation of the early 1970s. Flirts with being overpoweringly negative and moody, but is elevated by Lee's insight and direction.
Excellant job by the entire cast, especially Sigourney Weaver, frighteningly dead-on as an emotionally reckless wife and mother, and Adam Hann-Byrd and Elijah Woods as her eerie sons.
