My friend's Father purchased this VINTAGE "Silver Tone Engraved Etched Cursive Script Initial Letter L Monogram Small Oval Unisex Men Women Boy Girl Tie Bar Clip" in the late-1950s.  Purchased to wear for a College Formal in 1959, he wore this Tie Clip on occasion through the mid-1990s when it was packed away and forgotten about.  Recently rediscovered, it has been safely and securely stored.  With age appropriate wear that can be buffed out, there is NO damage to the clip which works smoothly and holds securely; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.  Oval in shape, it measures approximately 7/8ths of an inch long and approximately 5/8ths of an inch wide; under the Clip it is Marked "Swank".
