Belonging to my friend's Great-Grandfather, this "Antique Victorian Yellow & Blue Striped Cloth Fabric Ribbon Push Through Collar Top Button Lapel Bachelor Pin Brass Shirt Stud" was purchased around 1880 and worn occasionally through his death. Passed down through the years to my friend's Grandfather and later to his father, upon his father's passing in 2003 he received all his dad's jewelry, including this RARE, Hard To Find, Bachelor Stud Button.  Getting ready to move to a smaller home, he has NO children and has asked me to sell this family heirloom; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.  With a diameter of approximately 1/2 inch, it simply pushes through any standard size button hole; it is Marked "Made In France".

This 1880s Bachelor Button Stud was masterfully crafted with an EXQUISITELY Simple Yellow and Blue Striped Ribbon folded and crimped in the center like a Bow Tie.  The outer and inner sides are covered with this same GORGEOUS Yellow and Blue Striped Fabric and the workmanship is EXTRAORDINARY!  MASCULINE Victorian jewelry also had a feminine beauty, making this DELIGHTFUL lapel collar button stud IDEAL for a Man or a Woman; it fits through any normal/average size button hole. Sure to impress, it is a high quality, finely crafted Button Stud.

This Bachelor Button is FABULOUS with a CLASSIC design and fine artistry that is exceptional and distinctive!  This type of Victorian button was often referred to as a "Bachelor Button" because the shank allowed a gentlemen to use it without sewing.
