Opie Read was a prolific American journalist, novelist and humorist. Though he lived for years in Chicago, his books were usually set in the South. COME ON BUCK, set in Tennessee, is one of his later books. This copy has some modest cover corner wear and a tiny tear at the head of a somewhat faded spine. The page edges show two small bumps, each slightly affecting a few pages.  But for the most part, this is a bright copy which belies its age, with a tight binding and mostly white pages. No dust jacket. A rather uncommon title.
