Fans of animation will like this trilogy for it's unique style in stop-motion claymation. Reader's of the book will also want to see it for it's visual interpretations of the poems. "The Creation", "the Prodigal Son", & "Go Down Death" are the three stories told with narration and animation. The middle one is claymation and the other two are in a moving fingerpaint style. I personally enjoyed the first one best with James Earl Jones powerful 'Darth Vader' narration. The other two are narrated by Dorian Harewod.
The animation is by the talented Wil Vinton who created the 'Califonia Raisins', 'Adventures of Mark Twain', 'M & M's, 'Gary and Mike' and 'Claymation Christmas' to name a few.
