Brand new factory sealed dvd-r (made-on-demand) from the copyright holder 'Films Around the World' (FAT-W). It probably will not play in any recordable device such as burners or computers so be sure your machine supports dvd-r.
The film is Out Of Print in all formats and I cannot vouch for the quality of this release. It doesn't say widescreen, so I assume it is full screen. But I can say that Alexander W. Kogan Jr. of FAT-W is on the Code Red release in an on-camera special feature in which he talks about the film's making, so that bodes well for this release.
The poster art appears to be from a press release junket which talks about "selling points" and a poster, which this does not have.
The storyline is another riff on the standard slasher formula. A couple drinking and driving crash. Badly burned and thought to be dead, the guy kills the autopsy doctor and "ten years later" makes dumb Freddy Krueger wisecracks while killing teens in the abandoned asylum.
Tina & the Tots, a female band in leather skirts play tape loop/scream/noise music in the old building. Patty Mullen of 'Frankenhooker' has a topless scene, she's a vicious fighter with an incredible laugh. The victim's include a shrink's daughter, a baseball-card-collecting nerd and an indecisive guy.
And if your a Tod Slaughter fan, this movie contains five long clips (the best scenes) from his movies on a TV set!
