This is a vintage original 27x40 in. single-sided US one-sheet poster from the popular 2000's cocaine-themed biopic crime drama, BLOW, released in 2001 by New Line Cinema and directed by Ted Demme. Based upon the book by Bruce Porter, the film tells the story of how George Jung (Johnny Depp), along with the Medellín Cartel headed by Pablo Escobar (Cliff Curtis), established the American cocaine market in the 1970's in the United States. The cast includes Penélope Cruz, Franka Potente, Rachel Griffiths, Paul Reubens, Jordi Mollà, Miguel Sandoval, and Ray Liotta.

The design features a photographic image of George Jung (Johnny Depp) and his wife, Mirtha (Penélope Cruz) covered in cash as they lie together while looking directly at the viewer. The top half of the image is blank, which creates an unbalanced design. Of particular interest is that the film's title was printed with with metallic silver foil, which has a semi mirror-like reflective quality that is fully appreciated when viewed in person. Unrestored and rolled as originally issued, this vintage original ones-sheet is in very fine- condition with random signs of light wear along the edges and some very small creases from handling over time. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.

To prepare for the role, Johnny Depp interviewed the real George Jung in prison. A lot of Johnny Depp's dialogue was improvised, including the scene where they are trying to find a place to put all their money from selling coke and his line, "We're gonna need a bigger boat," is a quote from Steven Spielberg's blockbuster, Jaws (1975). The actors snorted milk powder in the cocaine scenes. Director Ted Demme died less than a year later while playing basketball and a postmortem toxicology test showed cocaine in his system.
