Sandoz ACC 200mg Lemon & Honey 20 Sachets Against Cold and Flu Cough Mucus
Acetylcysteine ??belongs to a class of drugs called mucolytics and has mucolytic properties. The substance is used for the fluidization of excessive or viscous bronchial secretions, in respiratory conditions (acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and its reactivations, bronchiectasis and mucoviscidosis).
Composition:
The active substance is acetylcysteine. Each 3 g powder pack contains 200 mg of acetylcysteine.
Usual dose:
Children under 2 years of age - due to the large amount of active substance ACC lemon and honey should not be used in children under 2 years.
Children 2-5 years - 1/2 envelope 2-3 times a day (equivalent to 200-300 mg acetylcysteine ??/ day).
Children 6-14 years old - 1 envelope 2 times a day (equivalent to 400 mg acetylcysteine ??/ day).
Adults and adolescents over 14 years - 1 envelope three times a day (equivalent to 600 mg acetylcysteine).
Administration method:
Take ACC lemon and honey 200 mg after meals.
Dissolve the powder in a glass of hot water and drink the entire contents of the glass as hot as you can.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4-5 days, please contact your doctor.
In the case of chronic bronchitis and mucoviscidosis, treatment should be continued for a longer period of time to achieve infection prophylaxis.
Warnings and precautions:
Do not use ACC lemon and honey if you are allergic to acetylcysteine ??or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- if you have asthma, you should tell your doctor before using this medicine;
- if you have had an ulcerative disease;
- if you have stomach pain after taking this medicine, you should stop using it and talk to your doctor;
- Severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome have been reported very rarely in combination with acetylcysteine. If new skin or mucosal changes occur, you should contact a doctor without delay and acetylcysteine ??should be discontinued.
