This is a hardcover book, The Decorated Corpse - A Massachusetts State Police Mystery by Roy Olin Stratton. It is a 1962 Book Club Edition. "Early one spring morning a little girl disappears on her way to school in a small Cape Cod town. The book follows a young State Trooper as he investigates the case, which only gets more hairy as the decorated corpse of one of the suspects shows up. The book is most well-known for how well it cronicles police procedures during the 50's and 60's for the MA state troops. Currently out of print."
Book is in good condition with the exception of the word "read" being written in pencil on the front dust jacket flap, and a penciled price from a used bookstore inside. It has a plastic protective cover on it like a library book, but I don't think it was in a library (there are no other indications that it was in a library, but I'm not a book collector, so I don't know for sure if there's something I should look for). In any case, it's in overall nice shape, has good reviews, and is rather hard to find now. Asking $5.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.
