GOLDA SIROTA (1903-1992) Golda Sirota was an American artist who specialized in abstract modern landscape art. Her choice of media was wide and often often varied; from collages, to acrylics and pen and ink works. Her work often has an "other worldly" dimension to it. Many of her pieces seem like, "abstract landscapes made up of four dimensions, instead of just three".
Golda started early in her career, entering the Newark School of Fine Arts as a special student at an age of only 11 years old. In subsequent years her family moved to the West Coast and Golda entered the esteemed Chouinard School of Art in Los Angeles.  She was later accepted into the UCLA School of Art at the University of California at Los Angeles. There she studied under Arnold Mesches and John Altoon. One can see how Golda was inspired by Altoon's works in particular, as small elements of his work can be seen in hers.
Golda Sirota's works have been exhibited in the Los Angeles County Museum, the Otis Art Institute, the DeYoung Memorial Museum, the Pasadena Museum of Art, Pepperdine College in Malibu California, the Bryant M Hale Gallery, Coos Bay Art Museum, and many others.
Her works also hang in public galleries and private collections around the world, and rarely come up for sale.
