This is a vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the classic 1920's silent film comedy/drama, POLLYANNA, released in 1920 by United Artists and directed by Paul Powell. An orphan's optimistic outlook brings a change to the ill-tempered town in which she resides to her aunt.

The image features a beautiful exterior shot of young Polllyanna (Mary Pickford) looking up into the face of Dr. Chilton (Herbert Prior) in a setting filled  with trees. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, most likely in the 1950's, this vintage copy photograph is in very fine- condition with a tiny chip on the tip of the top left corner. The image quality is very sharp with fine detail and beautiful, rich contrast.

Provenance: The Collection of Robert Cushman. Mr. Cushman worked at the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for many years and was a major private collector on and author about Mary Pickford.
